3. Why we process your data
Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have assessed that it is not overridden by your interests or rights. We do not rely on your consent for any of these purposes. You do not need to give consent to submit, and nothing is processed for marketing.
4. AI-assisted analysis of submissions
We analyse submitted pitch decks and other materials, for both venture capital and private equity opportunities, with our internal AI tool, which runs on enterprise-licensed AI models. The tool summarises the materials, extracts key information (market, team, traction, financials and, for businesses offered for sale, ownership and deal terms) and compares it with our investment criteria.
People decide. The output is only an input for our team, which verifies it. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that have legal or similarly significant effects on you (Art. 22 GDPR).
Profiling. Assessing the experience and track record of the team, owners or management may involve profiling within the meaning of Art. 4(4) GDPR. You can object to it under Art. 21 GDPR.
No training on your data. AI model providers act as our processors under data processing agreements. Under their enterprise terms, they may not use your data to train their models.
Restricted access. Only authorised members of our team can access submissions and their analysis.
You may contact us at any time to express your view on your submission or to ask that a person review it again.
5. Who receives your data
- Our processors: providers of hosting, email, verification, cloud storage, IT services and enterprise AI models. They process data only on our instructions.
- Our advisers: lawyers, tax advisers and auditors bound by confidentiality.
- Co-investors and financing partners: only with your prior agreement.
- Public authorities: only where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of our providers, including AI model providers, may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. We transfer data only where the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers) or under Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary measures. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.
